sarah & chris' beautiful barrhill / terrace downs wedding
Last Saturday I travelled down to Barrhill Church to photograph Sarah & Chris' wedding. This wee church is gorgeous and I could hardly wait for Sarah to arrive so I could photograph them together! It was a beautiful, sunny day filled with lots of friends and family and love. It was beautiful.

Chris arrives, and his first duty is a selfie, of course!

The guests are all tucked inside the church so Sarah and her dad make their way inside so Sarah can see her husband to be for the first time that day.

Woohoo! A big thumbs up from Chris as the newlyweds exit the church! So stoked!!!

Sarah's nana is a gorgeous wee lady!

Now this is what I couldn't wait for... I'd spotted this beautiful light floating through the church window and could not wait to place Sarah directly in it. I'm loving taking my bridal portraits - I love the fact this part of the day is a time to just be calm, have a seat, & look gorgeous before you go out and see your family and friends.

Then off to Terrace Downs where we had a very small window to take some creative shots before we headed into the reception.

These guys were awesome! Loved hanging out with them. On the way to Terrace Downs I had a great chat with Mark (one of Chris' groomsmen) about how to make a decent green tea. I'm addicted to the stuff and now I know how to take it. :)
From left: Graeme, Sue, Chris, Sarah, Olivia (Chris' sister) and Mark.

Back at the reception venue, the girls were getting ready in the powder room. It's beautiful in here!

Upstairs, Kara and the team from Terrace Downs had done a fantastic job.

I don't know what it is about this shot, but I LOVE it. Perhaps it's because they don't know I've taken it? But it seems to be like the calm before the storm...

Sarah (and Chris) had made 60-odd cranes - this was referred to in the speeches as Chris' love for "all things Japanese - except his wife". Yes, Graeme, I was listening. ;)

This is Sarah and her dad. Images taken minutes apart - Sarah's was taken before we headed up to the reception and I noticed her dad sitting like this a lot during the speeches. Family resemblance much? :)

As the light was fading very rapidly, we went out for a few quick snaps before dinner. Actually I think dinner had been served but I made them come outside for 5. Mean huh?

As I left this happy couple, the dance floor was busy with tummies and hearts full. x
